BOB WEIR & FURTHUR 2010 Special Collector’s Edition Artwork

About the print – To commemorate the FURTHUR appearance February 23&24 2010 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Ioannis has created an edition of Fifty prints which are separated as (40) fine art prints, plus ten (10) artists’ proofs from an original painting. Each image printed utilizes a seven-ink archival process on glossy pearl paper and measures 22 x 24 inches framed. Ioannis supervised the printing of each piece individually assuring the closest reproduction to the actual artwork. Each limited edition print is approved and individually hand-signed and numbered in pen by Ioannis, and Bob Weir.

This special edition will be limited to these forty pieces only and not reproduced again. All artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity from DANGEROUS AGE GRAPHICS and, a portion of all the proceeds are going to the TJ Martell Foundation.

About the Artist – Since 1983, Greek-born artist Ioannis has created record cover artwork – over 170 albums – for some of the most legendary bands in the music industry. Some of the artist’s music-industry clients have included Universal Music, Sony Music, EMI and Virgin Music and he has worked with such acts as Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Styx, The Allman Brothers Band, Blue Oyster Cult, Dream Theater, King Crimson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Biohazard, Sepultura, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Quiet Riot, Dokken, Johnny Winter, Extreme, UFO, The Tubes, Eddie Money, Van Zant, Saga, and many more. In 1994, he was one of 80 artists selected to create a mural at Woodstock II, and his works have been featured in many magazines, books and exhibitions worldwide. His design firm that he operates with his brother George, VIVID IMAGES CREATIVE – also creates film posters, entertainment company ID programs for Radio, TV companies and shows, websites and viral campaigns for entertainment clients, while his art company – DANGEROUS AGE GRAPHICS – showcases, sells and promotes his original artwork, limited edition prints, merchandise, website, exhibitions and licensing (his original works have been selling recently in the $25 – $50K range).

Bob Weir and Furthur – Furthur is a rock band founded in 2009 by former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. The band’s lineup also includes John Kadlecik of the Dark Star Orchestra on guitar, Jeff Chimenti of RatDog on keyboards, Jay Lane of RatDog on drums, and Joe Russo of the Benevento/Russo Duo on drums. Mr. Weir has also kept busy as a social and environmental activist, supporting a number of great causes both actively and through numerous benefit performances.
