Lynyrd Skynyrd Cover Artwork

Late in the winter of 1999 Ioannis was asked to contribute cover art for Lynyrd Skynyrd's latest studio album Edge of Forever , it was a unusual situation as he did not Art Direct the package as he had done previously for Twenty. Ioannis only did the front painting, the logo and title lettering. It quickly became a fan favorite and was reproduced as a backdrop for the concert, shirts, posters, and buttons. Ioannis went on to design several more Skynyrd albums including a Van Zant brothers album.

In late 2000 Ioannis decided to produce a limited edition print of the artwork for Edge of Forever. The band hand signed 500 prints and sold them in concert and through their fan club. The edition
sold out quickly. This piece is very special to Ioannis as it was signed by Leon Wilkinson the band's longtime great bass player who passed away shortly after this release.

This classic piece of art is from Ioannis' personal collection is available on this site for the first time. It measures at 20 x 26 and is professionally framed and matted. It is signed and numbered by Ioannis, Ricky Medlocke, Gary Rossington, Hughie Thommason, Johnny Van Zant, the late great Leon Wilkeson,Billy Powell, and Michael Cartellone. This edition signed by the band is no longer available.
